Meet Ascension Catholic School’s New Vice Principal: Kelly Rose
I am thrilled to join the impressive Ascension faculty and staff. For the past eighteen years, I have taught middle school, primarily English Language Arts, and I am excited about this new journey to serve as Assistant Principal. My career started in Milwaukee but the last nine years have been at Holy Spirit Catholic School. Prior to that, I taught at St. Thomas More in Kansas City. I feel strongly about the value that Catholic education provides our students and families, as well as the world, as it prepares students spiritually and academically for whatever call God places on their hearts.
My husband, Adam, and I have four children who will also be joining Ascension Catholic School: Sophia, Norah, Nika, and Graham. We are parishioners at Curé of Ars. Together, the six of us enjoy opening our home to the people we love for dinner or brunch after Sunday Mass. I am a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas, class of 2000, as well as Marquette University, class of 2004. I have a Master of Arts Degree in Reading and Language Arts Instruction from Cardinal Stritch University and am currently finishing up a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Marymount University.
I am grateful for this opportunity to serve the Ascension students, families, and faculty. I look forward to meeting you all and to partner with you in the education of these students. Have a wonderful summer!
