Come And See!
The Gospel speaks not only of St. John the Baptist announcing for all to “Behold the Lamb of God.” But it also speaks about two disciples who were curious about Jesus. They asked Jesus, “where are you staying?”, and He responded with some of the most memorable words of the Gospel: “come and see”. This invitation is one for us to give to all we know who are hungry for the Gospel and wondering what and who this person is they hear about named Jesus. It’s an invitation to invite to share and show others what He is about and what it means to call oneself a disciple. How are you witnessing Christ to others in your life? How do others around you know that you love Jesus? How do people know that your Catholic Faith is central to your life? Invite them to “come and see” so they too can encounter Jesus Christ. He is the one we proclaim at every Mass “Lamb of God you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us”.
