January Letter

Hello all you amazing mothers! Thanks for embracing your vocation to motherhood! Here’s what Ascension Youth has going on in January!

We are starting a new 4-week series for our high-schoolers titled ‘You Don’t Know Me’ where we’ll take a look at the stories of the ‘familiar’ Old Testament figures like Jacob, Joshua, David, and Ruth still hold relevant and life-changing messages for us today. On January 20th, we will have our NET Retreat where members of the National Evangelization Team (NET) will speak to our high-schoolers about the Lord’s righteousness! Ascension’s very own Annastasia Eftink will be going on the March for Life in Washington D.C. with a great number of our youth from our diocese. Don’t forget, sign-ups for our Summer Steubenville Conference close on Wednesday, January 29th! Go to our website for more information on all our events coming up!

We will be meeting on January 7th and 21st. January’s theme for our middle-schoolers is being “a new creation in Christ” based on 2 Corinthians 5:17.

Moms, thank you for all you do for this parish. We are so grateful for your witness to authentic, heartfelt motherhood. We want to get to know you all more, and we would love the chance to meet with you to talk about your kiddos and their faith-walk. Reach out to Anna or myself and we can get together!

May God bless you this day and always!

Through Christ,
Lee McMahon
