The Rose Project
Located in the Narthex under the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Take a rose from the basket with the appropriate color & place it in the vase. Complete a card so we can pray for you by name.
Red: honoring pregnancy & unborn babies
White: grieving with families suffering a loss due to miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth, infant or child death
Yellow: celebrating a birth, adoption, or fostering new children
Pink: praying for those desiring to conceive, adopt, or those experiencing infertility

Our Engagement:
- Life Chain: A nationwide witness on the first Sunday in October organized by Kansans for Life to give witness to the dignity of and right to life.
- 40 DAYS FOR LIFE: Ascension commits to two days of standing vigil in front of abortion businesses to peacefully pray to end the injustice of abortion. www.40daysforlife.com/overlandpark.
- Pack N Play Collections: collection of baby clothing and items to benefit mothers in need at the Olathe Pregnancy Clinic.
- Feeding volunteers at Olathe & Wyandotte Pregnancy clinics to show our appreciation for what they do on our behalf
- The Rose Project: praying and acknowledging families in our parish who are expecting, adopting, hoping for a child, or have lost a child.
- Roses for Life Campaign: Roses are passed out to parishioners after Masses with the request to send to our state legislators to show our support for life.
- Baby Bottle Boomerang: change collection coordinated by Two Lines Pregnancy Clinic to support its expecting women in need.
- Two Lines Pregnancy Walk For Life: Parishioner and school families form a team to raise money and walk together at Two Lines Pregnancy Clinic.
- Ignite/Kansas March for Life: bring a group to the annual Kansas Mass, March and rally organized by the Archdiocesan’s Pro Life Office
- Pro-Life Dinners: We host tables at the annual dinners to support local pregnancy centers.
