Hello and welcome to our Liturgical Living Resource Center!

We are excited to journey together to live more fully the beauty and richness of our Catholic faith, both in community and in our homes, our domestic churches.

Just what is meant by Liturgical Living?

In the Catholic Church, liturgical living means shaping daily life around the Liturgy, Sacramental life, and the Church’s Liturgical seasons of the year, so that faith is not only practiced at Mass but lived at home, in work, and in relationships throughout the year. Liturgical living involves the INTENTIONAL living of the Liturgy and feasts of the Liturgical calendar in ways that are more tangible and accessible, and that incorporate the different senses. The Church’s liturgical calendar offers many different practices and traditions that guide us through seasons of preparation, celebration, feasting, fasting, remembrance, and others.  Through living in the rhythm of the Church, we will be more fully drawn into the remembrance and celebration of Christ’s love and saving actions for His people.

Living liturgically is not a “cookie cutter” or one-size-fits-all approach. It will look differently in every person’s individual season of life and family situation, and there is no specific list of things you have to do.  Pray as you begin to prepare for each liturgical season and ask the Lord what He desires for you. Each year as we live the seasons of the Church, we are invited to go deeper or explore new traditions and practices so there is no need to do it all in a single year.

We pray that you will discover how each liturgical season invites us into deeper participation in the life of Christ, and that living liturgically will reignite your love for the Eucharist, the calendar of feasts, and the Church’s wisdom and traditions.
