Please Read:
We are excited about the upcoming year.
We believe that to be rooted in faith in our present culture it has to be not just one priority among many others, but it must be a central priority in the life of your family. As parents, you are the most important people in the faith lives of your children and we want to partner with you to assist you and your children to grow in faith and as an authentic disciple of Jesus. That is why our programs are structured/set-up the way they are and we are excited to journey with you and your children this year!
We ask that parents schedule a 30 minute meeting with William O’Leary or YFF Coordinator Dave Henke before September. (Those new to our program or with children entering 2nd, 7th, or 8th grade must sign up for a meeting. All are invited to set-up a meeting regardless of grade level). We care about each of you individually. Those that must sign-up for a meeting are anyone who is new to our program and those who have children going into 2nd, 7th, and 8th grade.
Programs: Family Formation: K, 1st, 3rd-5th Grade
Meets on the first Tuesday of each month in the parish hall - both parent and children are expected to attend in the parish hall from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Additionally, in this program we will give parents a packet of lessons for the next 3 weeks of the month for you to do at home. There will be a weekly assignment to submit online each of the 3 weeks. This program begins on September 1st.
Weekly Youth Faith Formation:
- K-5 Grade: On the first Wednesday of the month, parents and children meet together in the Parish Hall from 6pm to 7:30pm. The remaining weeks, students will be in the classroom.
Note: We have a 2-year preparation program for those preparing for First Communion. All children must be in our 1st year (usually 1st grade) before registering for 2nd Grade.
This program (K-5) begins on September 2nd (Parents and kids are to meet in the parish hall at 6:00pm).
- Middle School: 6th, 7th (Year I) and 8th (Year II)
All Junior High students will gather each Wednesday from 6:00pm to 7:30pm in a classroom to meet as a small group as they explore the Faith. We want every middle schooler to feel that they belong, are loved and are important to this faith journey that they are continuing. A unique events where we as parents to be a part of will be announced at the beginning of the year. This program (6th-8th grade) begins August 26th.
Special Needs Class: We plan to offer a class for young people with unique learning needs. Please call the YFF Office for more details - 913-681-7683.
Questions / concerns, call the YFF Office 913-681-7683.
We look forward to you registering and having you a part of our YFF Program this year!

All current EMHCs who were last commissioned more than three years ago are required to attend one of these Commissioning sessions. If you are unsure when you were last commissioned, please reach out to Landry Secredou.

This is a morning for moms to stay and enjoy the activities with their kid(s).
DETAILS:
Little Angels is a mini vacation bible school for the littles. There will be one day each season this year. Designed with 12 months - 6 year olds in mind, but all ages are welcome and will enjoy it! And even if you have a younger than 12 month old, it’s a fun morning to hang out with other moms, so we’d love to see you!
Our time will include story time, crafts, and activities. We will do the story time shortly after 10:00am, so we’d love to have you at the beginning...however...the rest of the time is a move around at your own pace kind of thing, so feel free to come later (even if it’s only for 30 minutes and enjoy) and leave whenever you want! We’ll have to clean up at 11:30am, but the activities will be open from after story time until 11:30am.
