Did you know that Ascension was invited to participate in Amazing Parish?

Amazing Parish is a ministry consulting organization based in Denver, Colorado which hosts an annual conference and works with pastors to build a leadership team in order to best achieve the mission of the parish and best utilize resources. Fr. Gary attended the Amazing Parish event that was held in Kansas City in June 2021 when he had just been assigned pastor of Ascension. After attending and taking on his new role and learning about the Amazing Parish model, he reorganized our parish staff into teams with a pastoral associate leading each group who would report directly to him. This change allowed for closer collaboration by key leaders, and hopefully will let parishioners better know the key people that lead their parish on a daily basis.
