EXTRA-ORDINARY OPPORTUNITY The training will include a presentation by Fr Tom followed by commissioning of the new members and recommissioning of those whose commissioning dates were more than three years ago. Please prayerfully consider joining one or both of these wonderful and rewarding ministries. God will bless you abundantly for your service.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist in distributing Holy Communion at Sunday Masses and special celebrations. Eucharistic ministers must have received the Sacrament of Confirmation and be actively practicing their faith at Church of the Ascension. Training is required. Eucharistic ministers are regularly scheduled with opportunities to volunteer for holy days and other celebrations. For more information contact Craig and Judy Arnold 685-9305. Eucharistic Ministry to St. Luke's South Hospital distribute Holy Communion to Catholics under hospital care. Training is required. Ministers to the ill must have received the Sacrament of Confirmation and must be actively practicing their faith. For more information contact Marguerite Enlow 897-5623. To view St. Luke's South EMHC Schedule Beginnning April, 2013 click here Eucharistic Ministry to the Homebound distribute Holy Communion to parishioners in the homes of homebound parishioners as needed. Sacristan Prepares the Altar and credence table in preparation for the Mass. Also prepares for Communion cups and chalices after Mass. Must be able to arrive 30 minutes before Mass, and stay 5-10 minutes after Mass. Contact Scott and Nancy Huddlestun 681-6288.
